About
Ami Leviatan’s research seeks to understand the structure of nuclei, hadrons and related dynamical systems, with particular emphasis on the role of emergent symmetries. Tools of investigation involve numeric and analytic methods, the latter based on Lie algebras and group theory.
Key research themes include:
- Algebraic modeling of nuclei, hadrons and related systems
- Quantum phase transitions, shape evolution and coexistence in nuclei
- Symmetry principles in dynamical systems
- Simplicity out of complexity in nuclei
